Welcome to Burnham-on-Sea Junior Section.

It is with a sense of pride and privilege that I write this brief introduction to our club for the 2010/11 rugby season. Following on from our success last season in gaining the RFU Seal of Approval, Burnham-on-Sea RFC continues to move forward having improved the club facilities last year and coaching offered at the club.

As a parent you will no doubt want your son/daughter to enjoy their involvement in rugby union in a safe enjoyable environment, where there are opportunities to learn and develop rugby skills and also have fun. Rugby is a great character building sport where many life long friendships are forged. To this end the club caters for all standards and actively seek to introduce new players and parents alike to the rugby experience.

We have a great opportunity to encourage and nurture young players at our club throughout all age groups and I am delighted that we have such a team of talented, hard-working coaches, managers and helpers able to do so.

None of our plans will succeed without the active participation, support and time from parents and carers. We actively encourage parents to get involved and this can be in any capacity. If you want more involvement let your coach or a committee member know.

This season the Junior Membership has been maintained at £50.00. Additional playing family members will incur a charge of £5.00 each. This represents excellent value as a one off cost, as no further fees are payable to play or train

I would also ask that parents and players read and sign up to the Code of Conduct which is attached to the Registration Form.

Finally, I look forward to welcoming new and current players when we commence full training at the beginning of September.
